Two student teams from the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, each won 2nd place in the Business, Management and Finance Science Competition (KBMK) in the marketing management category and the Commercialization category of Appropriate Research and Technology. The achievements of the winners were officially conveyed in the awarding ceremony for the 2021 KBMK winners organized by the National Achievement Center of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (15/9/2021)
The 2nd place for KBMK in the Marketing Management Category was won by the Maelo Team, namely Ilham Satmata Perdana, Fauzan Noor Qolbi and Vera Nur Annisa who came from the Management Study Program of FPEB UPI. The team was guided by Dr. Vanessa Gaffar., SE., Ak., MBA who is a lecturer in the Management Study Program of FPEB, UPI.
The Dean of FPEB UPI, Prof. Dr. Eeng Ahman, M.S as the steering team for the UPI Level KBMK implementation expressed his appreciation to the entire team of students, supervisors and the 2021 KBMK committee who have worked hard to make KBMK activities successful at the university and national levels.
Deputy Dean for Student Affairs FPEB Dr. Lili Adi Wibowo, S.Pd., S.Sos, MM as the chief executive explained that the UPI team that made it into the grand final at the national level were 4 teams in four categories, namely in the marketing management category, the category of commercialization of research and appropriate technology, category of human capital management and scientific writing category. As for the 4 teams in the four categories, 2 representative teams from the Indonesian Education University won 2nd place at the national level.
According to him, the implementation of the UPI Level KBMK was held starting with outreach activities for participants, content preparation by participants, initial phase assistance by supervisors, selection implementation, second phase mentoring by supervisors followed by sending participants at the national level representatives from UPI.
BMK at the national level the stages that are passed are (1) publication of competition guidelines and division of tasks/competition cases for the elimination selection; (2) socialization period; (3) the opening of the team registration by the Tertiary Education Institution through the website; (4) submission of preliminary round papers and videos; (5) the selection process for the preliminary round; (6) announcement of the final round of participant decisions; (7) re-registration and division of tasks/cases for the final round; (8) limits for re-registration and submission of semi-final materials; and (9) implementation of the semi-finals and grand finals (national level)
Technically, the successful implementation and implementation of KBMK at the university level and at the national level is assisted by the coordination of Rd. Dian Hardiana, S.Pd., M.Sc., CTA., ACPA as the Head of the FPEB Digital Space-X Laboratory and Dr. Sandey Tantra Paramitha, S.Si., M.Pd as Head of the Division of Organizational and Student Development of the UPI Directorate of Student Affairs. Dr. Sandey Tantra Paramitha, S.Si., M.Pd selaku Kepala Divisi Pembinaan Organisasi dan Kemahasiswaan Direktorat Kemahasiswaan UPI.
UPI Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Didi Sukyadi, MA and Director of Student Affairs UPI Prof. Dr. Suwatno, M.Si as the person in charge of organizing all student programs continuously strives earnestly in coordinating, planning, coaching and evaluating all competitions that are participated in by students, both those held at the national and international levels.
Through the successful achievement of students who won 2nd place at the 2021 National Level Business, Management and Finance Competition (KBMK) organized by the National Achievement Center of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, this proves that UPI students are able to take part in various stages of the selection process. properly and optimally.
